Default FEESH!

This is my big ol' saltwater tank with so far, 2 Percula Clownfish, an Emerald Crab and a Turbo Snail. It's got a whole lot of nothing right now, but in the future it will look AMAZING.

Just added an anemone and three Nassarius snails. The snails burrow and hide in the sand.

Added a few more photos to the first post of the anemone and such. If you look under the rock, you can see the crab. All photos taken with my iPhone.

It's not as easy as one may think. That tank sat empty with just water and sand for 2 months while the water went through the cycling process. Any less and it would kill the fish right off. It's also a spendy project. Right now my budget allows me to spend about $150 a month, and with the price of parts that's not very much.

As you can see, it's got two power filters running, a heater and a powerhead. That powerhead is far too weak for that tank, but it's better than having nothing at all to circulate the water. For those of you who don't know, a powerhead is a water circulator. It's pretty much a requirement for SW tanks. I'll be purchasing two of these babies on the next go around. They're pretty much one of the most recommended powerheads out there and found at that price, it's pretty much a dumb shit move NOT to buy.

Any questions? If you wanna start your own I'll talk ya through the basics, or if you want, I can just post them here.

Slowly adding more stuff to this thing. The other day I bought a Firefish Goby and I just made a protein skimmer. Yes! I made one!

For those of you who don't know what a protein skimmer is, look here.

As an update, the cost of the 55 gallon was too much for me right now so I drastically downsized my setup. I've moved everything into a 20 gallon tank and so far it looks much better. Over time, more and more things will be added to the setup to be a nano reef.

Here is the current setup.
