Default CT's Home Network

I have too many wireless devices in my home and my single wireless N router in mixed mode wasn't cutting it. Instead of straight up replacing my old router, I added to the network.

So far I have two routers running: one as the main gateway with DHCP turned on and the other as a just a router. Also, one is running a wireless B/G signal and my main one is running only a N signal.

The network works like this:

Modem -> Router 1 (Wired to Router 2 and XBox 360) -> Router 2 (Wired to Network Printer, Main Desktop PC and Secondary Desktop PC)

Router 1 (D-Link DIR-655) is broadcasting a wireless network of only N.
Router 2 (Linksys WRT54G) is broadcasting a wireless network of mixed B/G signal for the older devices.

It's late so I don't know how confusing that is for everyone lol. If you want more info, just ask and I'll see what I can do. If you want to know how to setup something like this I can probably help with that too...

Coming soon I'll be adding a D-Link DAP-1522 Xtreme N Duo Wireless Bridge/Access Point. It'll go into my living room to speed up my network devices in there along with extending my wireless signal.

So I added the DAP-1522 to my network and shortly afterward, returned it. It does allow all my devices to connect to my local network wirelessly, but it does not allow those devices to access the internet unless I have it setup as an access point which I would have to run a cord to which defeats the purpose of this devices purpose.

Internal network, yes. External internet, no.

My solution? Buy a wireless N network adapter for my 360.

Update: The 360 has been on Wireless N now for about 6 months.

I also have my web server wired into the network now also. (Who wants hosting?!)
